Adapting to COVID-19: How Practicing Mindfulness Can Improve Your Overall Well-being

*Note: This session has passed. Please view the recordings here.

Audience: Students, Faculty and Staff

Session Description:

Mindfulness is the awareness that arises when we pay attention to our present moment experience with openness and curiosity. Just as regular exercise strengthens the body, the consistent practice of mindful awareness is associated with beneficial changes in the brain that increase mental resilience, promote well-being, and improve focus. In this session, participants will be introduced to the key principles of mindfulness and learn how to cultivate mindful awareness through meditation, relational practices, and activities in daily life.

This webinar will lead to a series of regular Mindful/Meditation Monday drop-in sessions for the fall semester.
