LGBTQAI2S+ Rights

With COVID-19 impacting many aspects of our lives, including work, home, and school, it’s vital to be aware and understanding of all perspectives and lifestyles. Respecting the rights of the people you live or work with must remain the highest priority, especially in high-stress situations such as the current pandemic.

Online communities and supports are available for everyone. You are not alone, even if you are self-isolating.

The International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA) compiled this list of remote-work resources, including practical tips for working remotely; digital, physical, and emotional protection suggestions; technical resources for online projects; and links to improve your overall well-being.

The Vancouver Pride Society developed this resource guide, with many features available to people outside of Vancouver. The list includes food security solutions, support groups, harm reduction and substance-use supports, employment, mental health and anxiety services, and more.

The Victoria Pride Society also developed a resource guide that features pandemic community resources; digital town halls; COVID-19 community connections; financial assistance and housing; resources for Canadian artists, writers, and media workers during the COVID-19 shutdown; and more.

Stay safe, observe the best practices, and help Canada overcome this pandemic.
